Pulses are a great source of protein and one of the interesting ways to include them in our daily diet is through Dosas.
Here is one such Dosa which requires no rice, no fermentation and is extremely high in the protein quotient. Not to mention that it turns out very crispy and delicious!
Ingredients:
1 cup Moong - Dal (yellow)
1 cup Masoor - Dal
3 to 4 dry red chillies
curry leaves
coriander leaves
hing
salt
1 to 2 tsp pepper powder
Method:
Soak the pulses for 3 to 4 hours. Grind them along with curry leaves, dry red chillies and coriander leaves. Grind till you get a smooth batter. Add a pinch of hing, salt and pepper powder. Add required quantity of water till the batter is medium-thick and has flowing consistency. Make crisp Dosas with either oil or ghee!
Tips:
You may add finely chopped onions to the batter or grind the onions along with the pulses.
